Bhagavad Gita
CH -II Yoga of Knowledge
(Sankhya Yoga)
Krishna said:
23 No weapon can cleave a soul
Nor the fire can burn it
Neither water can wet it
Nor the wind can dry the soul.
24 Undividable and unburnable
Unbulking and uncompactable
Also the self is eternal
All - pervading and stable
Immovable as well as
Ancient also is the soul.
Krishna continue with his dialogue to Arjuna. He establishes the importance of Soul very clearly to Arjuna. Soul can never be cut apart. Soul can never be wet by water nor can be dried by wind. Soul is undividable, unburnable, non-compactable, immovable and eternal. Soul is all pervading and ancient.
Such is our soul, then why do we fear ? We have to take consciousness along with faith and surrender to the Supreme Soul, Lord Krishna.
Hare Krishna
