Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

17 Moderate in diet and recreation
Moderate in strain put in work
Moderate in sleep and in wake
Such Yoga relieves all of pains.
18 When the mind is self controlled
And sets the mind in self alone.
Kept away from all desires then
He be called man ‘United in Yoga.


   Krishna said about the obstacles in meditation which we have to face is on food and rest. Moderation in food and strain in work as well as in sleep and awakeness is must for a successful Yogi. Krishna says that when our mind becomes concentrated on the inner self, and our desires are kept away; then we gain the Yoga.

    Oh Lord, bless us to be desireles. Let us meditate on our inner self and attain Enlightenment. Have you ever meditated ? How was the experience?
