Bhagavad Gita 220601

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

47 Among all the Yogis he who
Merged in me by inner-soul.
And worship me with full faith
As the most devoted I treat him.

Thus Shrimad Bhagavad Gitopanishad’s
Supreme Doctrine of Yoga Science
As Shrikrishna - Arjuna dialogue
Athma Samyama Yoga named VI th Chapter.

Krishna concludes the dialogue on Athma Sanyasa yoga. The Yogi who merges in me with his inner self is the most devoted. He who devotes me and worships me with faith is an excellent Yogi. Thus the dialogue on meditation is concluded.

Let us take an oath to do meditation with great devotion to the Master and God. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220531

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

45 The hard strived with austerity
That Yogi purified from all sins
Perfected though many births
Finally reach the supreme goal.

46 Yogi is superior to an ascetic
Even superior to a scholar he is.
Yogi is superior to a man of action
Partha, hence thee too be a Yogi.

Krishna says – the Yogi who works hard observing the Yama-Niyama will become pure. He will reach the supreme goal. Therefore a Yogi is superior to an ascetic. Yogi is superior to a scholar. Yogi is also above the achievers of actions. So Krishna advises Arjuna to become a Yogi.

To achieve the supreme be selfless supreme, that is a Yogi. Oh Lord bless us to become Yogis. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220530

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

43 As much knowledge and Yoga
Acquired as in the former life
As much he will bear again and
Yet strive for more oh Kawntheya.

44 Only because of past practise
And only due to the quest to know
To yoga draws even the weak desired
And do cross even ‘Brahma - sound.’

Krishna says: the Yogi gathers as much knowledge as he acquired in the past life. He will still strive to gain more knowledge in the present life. It's a truth that due to their knowledge in the past life, they get past the "Brahma Sound" and get liberated. So you should practice yoga as much as possible. It is an asset for our forthcoming life.

Let us pray to God for blessing us with knowledge and divine services.

Bhagavad Gita 22052

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

41 Reaching the world of virtues
Dwelling there for long lives
The yoga lost in past takes birth
In some pure and wealthy home.

42 Or even he takes birth in
A wise Yogi’s house itself
See this type of birth is
Too scanty in this world.

Krishna says that a man who lost his venture in Yoga, reach the world of virtues. Dwell there enjoying divine life for a very long time. Then take birth in some noble, pure and wealthy family. Sometimes he may take birth in a wise Yogi's house itself. However such birth is very rare.

Oh Lord bless us with divine birth. Let us serve thy creations and spread thy love and knowledge. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220527

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Arjuna said:

39 This doubt of mine oh Krishna
Requires a compete solution.
Because such is my doubt
Only thee can dispel it well.

40 The Blessed Lord said :
Patha, neither in this world
Nor there in another world
He who strives to do good
Will ever perish oh my son.

Arjuna told Krishna that only Krishna can dispel his doubt. Arjuna's doubt was that if one practices Yoga, but can't accomplish his targets, what will happen to him ? Will he become an obsolete, unworthy life ?  Krishna assured Arjuna that one who strives to do good will never, ever perish.

Oh Lord bless us to do noble actions. Let there be peace and harmony to all. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220526

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

37 Arjuna said :
He tried faithfully, yet he failed
Since from Yoga mind tossed off
Thus if not achieved Yoga’s goal
What happens to him say Krishna !
38 Fallen from both will he stray
Unsupported like a mend cloud ?
Defaulted from Brahman’s path
Will he perish oh Mighty armed ?

Arjuna race his doubt about the Yoga practice - I practice Yoga faithfully and sincerely. If my mind rolled off and I did not achieve Yoga. Then what may happen to me oh Krishna? Having strayed away from the target of Brahma, what may be the future of my soul ? Will it be destroyed like a mend cloud ?

Oh Lord give us strength and skill to achieve the best. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220525

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

35 Undoubtedly oh Mighty armed
Untamed mind do roll non - stop
But by practice oh Kawntheya
It is restrained by dispassion.

36 The uncontrolled can hardly
Gain the Yoga I think so.
Possible means to gain it is
Self control and hard striving.

Krishna said to Partha that if our mind is not tamed, the mind will agitate in its own way. However, the mind can be tamed by practice through restraint and dispassion. To gain Yoga, self control and restraint called Yama - Niyamas are the key.

Let us take an oath to gain Yoga. Lord bless us to become Yogis. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220524

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

33 Arjuna said:
This Yoga of equanimity
Though thee taught me Krishna
I see no way to continue by
Quieting this mind so restless.
34 This turbulent mind oh Krishna
Is surging strong and unyielding.
So I find to control the mind
As difficult as to tame the wind.

Arjuna said: I have heard all that you said on meditation. Oh Krishna, you have taught me about the art of keeping mind in balance in all conditions. However I am not able to practice it as my thoughts are surging strongly. I find it so difficult to tame as it is behaving like a strong wind. So tell me Krishna, how can I continue this Yoga ?

All of us may have faced such problems. Listen to Krishna to find out the solutions to continue in Bhagavad Gita.

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

31 Who ever worships me alone
As me dwelling in all things
What ever be his past he gains
Yogidom as he serves me only.
32 Be it joy or be it pain
He who considers to all else
And the same for himself too
He is considered Yogi great.

Krishna says : Yogi who worships me alone is resolved to liberation with my blessings. God is dwelling in all beings equally. So the duality that is occurring to self is applicable to others also, such a Yogi is excellent, his love and awareness is unlimited, like that of the supreme.

World will be blessed with goodness of every individual, if he be a Yogi. Lord bless us to become excellent Yogis. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220520

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

29 The soul abided in all things
And the self pervade all beings
So who be in unison of Yoga
See same here and all over.
30 Thus who see me all over
Also see in me all beings
I never cease for him or
He never cease for me too.

Krishna says: Since the supreme soul is all pervading, a Yogi who have attained Yoga, see everything as a part of himself.  Those who see Krishna in everything, then Krishna can not be separated from him. Also Krishna will never be separated from him.  Thus the bond will be such that it will not exist without one another.

Oh Lord, bless us with such bondage with thee. Firm our devotion and faith in thee. Hare Krishna

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

27 Thus having mind quietened then
The Yogi gains the supreme joy.
And attaining quietude of passion
Becomes Brahma itself the sinless.

28 Thus practicing Yoga ceaselessly
Yogi freed off from all sins
Easily get Brahma’s grace itself
And get joy endless - bliss eternal.

Krishna says: The Yogi, who has quieted his mind, says he gets supreme bliss. That man whose passions and ego are withdrawn, he is sinless and hence he is abided in Brahman. The Yogi who practises Yoga will be liberated soon. He will get endless joy and eternal bliss.

So let us also pledge to practice Yoga regularly and attain supreme bliss and knowledge. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220518

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

25 Bit by bit, by wit quiet-en and hold
Firm on mind the fast forward.
Having established mind in soul
Nothing else should be pondered at.
26 When ever the mind rolls out
Wavering and wandering far off
Then and there it should be checked
And kept it under self control.

Krishna says: control the mind slowly and step by step. The nature of mind is fast to and fro. Then establish in the steady mind. Only think of the supreme Bliss alone, the Master-Guru and nothing else. The habit of mind is to roam and roll. Every time it goes away, bring it back to the supreme - Guru and steady it.  Soon you will attain supreme peace and knowledge.

Let us take an oath to meditate regularly until we get the supreme Bliss and knowledge. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita

Bhagavat Gita 220517
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

23 The separation is called Yoga
From the grip of great grief.
So practice with great will
Yoga steadily unperplexed.
24 From mind, the city of senses
Shed off lust prone imageries
Without leaving a tint of it and
Guard it from all sides always.

Krishna says: Yoga is the practice to get freedom from the grip of grief and envy. Therefore, you have to practice yoga regularly, steadily and unperplexed. Human body is like a city with nine gates. The gates are the sense organs. Guard the gates with restraint, with love and compassion.

Let us Guard our words and actions from all evils. May there be love and happiness. Meditation will be our path. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220516

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

21 When he find that infinite bliss
Through supreme sense of intellect
Then he establish in great truth
And will never drift from that.
22 Those acquired such great gain
Think that nothing can be so great,
Because established with in self
Even great grief can’t move him.

Krishna says: once you establishes in the supreme truth, then you will not deviate from it. You will be enjoying the supreme Bliss. The Yogi who reached this status, knows that all worldly pleasures are nothing in comparison to the Supreme Bliss. Once established in bliss, even great sorrows can not affect you.

God is Bliss itself. To gain Yoga meditation is the best way. Let us meditate on the divine form of Lord for his blessings.

Bhagavad Gita 220515

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

Krishna said:

19 The lamp do not flicker
Kept in a windless place.
Similar is the controlled minded -
Those united in the self with Yoga.
20 When mind is content with
Restrain by practice of Yoga
And when find soul by self
Then he satisfies in the self.

Krishna says, the mind controled by Yoga is steady like a lamp kept in a windless place. Mind will not agitate in a Yogi who have a command on his mind. The control of mind is done through practice of Yama and Niyama, the restrain prescribed for Yoga; alongwith meditation. Which leads the mind to the supreme soul within. When the Yogi meet his soul which is within, equally in all beings (without), then the Yogi starts to enjoy the supreme Bliss. This is because the nature of self is purely Bliss.

The heaven is not in the high sky. It is within. To gain the pleasure of heaven we have to relinquish outer worldly pleasures. Then a greater joy and satisfaction will follow. For him happyness will be everywhere. Are you ready for the pursuit of bliss. Meditation is your key.

17 Moderate in diet and recreation
Moderate in strain put in work
Moderate in sleep and in wake
Such Yoga relieves all of pains.
18 When the mind is self controlled
And sets the mind in self alone.
Kept away from all desires then
He be called man ‘United in Yoga.

Krishna said about the obstacles in meditation which we have to face is on food and rest. Moderation in food and strain in work as well as in sleep and awakeness is must for a successful Yogi. Krishna says that when our mind becomes concentrated on the inner self, and our desires are kept away; then we gain the Yoga.

Oh Lord, bless us to be desireles. Let us meditate on our inner self and attain Enlightenment. Have you ever meditated ? How was the experience?

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation
(Atmasamyama Yoga)

rKrishna said:

15 Yogi with a restrained mind
Uniting mind always in soul.
Abided in me so they reach
Peace and supreme solitude.
16 Yoga is hard for who eat much
Also for he who eat very less.
Neither for those sleep so much
Nor it suits sleepless too Partha !

Krishna says that the Yogi who controls his mind and abided in Yoga, thinking always about his Guru or God; will receive peace and supreme solitude. Now Krishna explained about the obstacles faced in practice of yoga. He says that the Yogi eating very much or very less will not help him in his yoga practice. Similarly, sleeping too much and too much awakeness will harm the practices. In short, exceeding and lacking of food and rest may destroy Yoga.

Let us take the path of modesty in Yoga practice.  Let Our target be supreme solitude. Hare Krishna

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : VI Yoga of Meditation

13 Hold the body erect and free
Head, and neck still up right
Hold the gaze at tip of nose
Without straying eyes around
14 Serene minded without fear
And firm in vow of celibacy
With balance of mind behold me
Having me as the supreme goal.

After talking about the place to sit, Krishna explains how to pose for meditation. Keep your body straight but relaxed. Head neck and spine straight. Hold gaze at the nose tip or in between eyebrows. Do not look around during meditation. Mind your mind and make it serene, avoid disturbing and violent thoughts and fear. Keep a firm vow of celibacy. Thus control and balance your mind. Think of the divine values of your Guru and God.

Let us Feel the presence of God. Observe the breath, merge in the divine until Samadhi happens.

Samadhi is oneness with the supreme.  The aim in Life is to merge with the supreme.

Krishna said:

7 Self conquered acts as peaceful,
Balanced and be in supreme self.
Heat or cold, pleasure or pain
In fame or defame he do same.
8 Satisfied in search and study
Frigidly with conquered senses.
Who treat gold and clod as same
Call him true Yogi of harmony.

Krishna says: the self restraint acts balanced. They are ever peaceful and hence stays within the supreme self. It does not change in the changing citations like cold and hot, joy and pain, fame and abuse etc. The man who conquers his senses, satisfied within, checking the functions of mind, he acts great. He never distinguishes between gold and a lump of mud. That Yogi will be always in supreme harmony.

Krishna said:

5 Awake the self in by thyself
Never cause it any de-morale.
As mind of oneself is his friend
And mind itself is own foe too.

6 Mind acts as his own friend
When he conquers own egos.
Unconquered mind itself
Acts as foe for oneself.

Krishna says: mind is the friend of self that support us in difficulty. The mind becomes a foe when it is not under control. Therefore never cause the mind any disgrace. Always keep our spirit up and enthusiasm steadily. Mind is our Guru- Teacher too. If we follow a lusy fraud, definitely it will lead us to doom. We follow a pious man we too become pious.

 Sage who practise Yoga
Say his means is action.
Sage who have gained Yoga
Say his means is inaction.

4 Either for senses or wealth
When no desire remains in
And renounced all imageries
Then say one throned the Yoga.

The accomplishment of yoga is achieved with action. While inaction is the nature of the Yogi who have attained yoga. Yoga is self contentment. Yogi shuns his desire for sensuality as well as his wish for material wealths. Yogi removes all his desires and imagination, then that Yogi is the king among the Yogis.

Krishna said:

26 Those free from lust and envy
Ascetic who subdued his mind
Establish in Brahmic bliss
For ever by a self realized.

27 Siege over all external contacts
Fixing gaze at mid of eye - brows
Equalizing in and out breath, it -
Moves with in and out of nostrils.

Krishna continue the explains how to attain solitude. You restrain your mind from envy and lust. Establish your mind in supreme Brahman and bliss. Then you will realise the real nature of the self, the Brahman. Krishna says by controlling of breath you can control your mind. Withdraw  mind from all external thoughts and concentrate on the breath. Observe the incoming and outgoing breath and equalise it; while fixing the gaze in middle of the eyebrows known as the third eye. Equalise both incoming and outgoing breath. The process is called pranamam.

And he who is illumined with in

And Brahma itself he becomes.

25 Self poised without dualities
Intending good for all beings
Little sinned is such a sage
He’ll get supreme solitude.

Krishna said that the one who controls his senses, thereby keeping away from lust and envy, he will never be unhappy. Continuing to elaborate on it, Krishna says that the one who rejoice within the Self, got illumination through knowledge; that Yogi get supreme solitude. That Yogi acts beyond duality. His mind is Cristal clear, he considers all as equal to himself. He never sin. He always helps others. That Yogi establishes in supreme bliss and solitude.

Starting and end Oh Kawntheya!
It brings up pain only hence
The wise do not rejoice in them.

23Impulse born of lust or envy
Before released from own body
Who control it by strong will
That Yogi be the happiest man.

Krishna says that happiness that happened on by sensual contact, have a starting and hence they have an ending. Such happiness ultimately leads to pain. So the wise do not enjoy it. The man who restrain the feelings emerging from lust and envy; controls it before releasing it from the body; he is the real Yogi. He will be the happiest man, he will never be unhappy.

Let us also control our lust, envy and such negative thoughts through restrain. Then we all will be happy and then world will become wonderfully lovely.

By knowledge in their self
Like sun lightens all by itself
Knowledge may reveal the eternal.

17 Those knowing it and merged in it
Those established and pondered on it
They go whence there is no return
As knowledge wash off their sins.

Krishna says: When your ignorance is destroyed, then awakens the knowledge. The knowledge will reveal the eternal, like it is in the sun shine. Those who are established in that eternal knowledge and meditate on it, their sin will be washed off . Therefore there is no return for them as rebirth. They are liberated forever from the swing and transit of life and death.

Lord created for this world, but;
Its nature that makes all work.

15 Neither takes anyone’s sin
Nor the merits takes the God.
Deluded are beings because, their;
Knowledge is covered by ignorance.

Krishna says: God has not created action, actor, nor any attachments to action. It is our own wants due to selfishness that brings unwanted action.   God never created sin also he never takes credit of anybody's meritorious action. People allege due to delusion for owning the credit.

Oh God, we pray thee to save us from ignorance and craves for credit. Let us be full of love and appreciate meritorious people.

Chapter 5: Karma Sanyasa Yoga

Krishna said:

12 Well poised neglect action’s fruit
Hence establish in peace eternal.
Un-poised, impelled with all desires
For fruit of action he is bound.

13 Renounce all actions by mind
For restraint gain peace eternal.
In body - the nine gated city - stays
The self - it neither acts nor activate.

Krishna says, the people who have desires he will be bound for fruits of action. While the self restraint neglect the fruits of action and hence he establish in eternal peace. Therefore Krishna says us to renounce all actions mentally, the restrained gain eternal peace. Human body is like a nine gated city. Where action and senses are the gates. However the self neither act nor do persuade for action. It's the craves that make us do action.

Chapter 5: Karma Sanyasa Yoga

Krishna said:

10 Offering all actions to Brahma
Doing always things unattached
He is never taint by any sins
Like a lotus leaf do in water.

11 Merely by mind and intellect
Also by body and by senses
Yogis carry out their actions -
Unattached; to holy themselves.

Krishna says: like a lotus leaf in water, the water do not wet it's leaf surface. Thus who do actions as offering to Brahman, his action do not taint him. Therefore a Yogi do action merely by mind, intellect, body and sense with out involvement and attachment. The action is done to purify himself.

So like a Yogi let us do our actions to holy ourselves. May our actions benifit all but never to harm any being.

Bhagavad Gita

Chapter 5: Karma Sanyasa Yoga

(True Renunciation)

Krishna said:

8 The truth learned Yogi thinks
That he do nothing though he
See and hear, touch and smell
Eat and walk, sleep and breath -

9 Speak and wink, seize and purge,
But convince himself that these
Actions happens by itself since
Organs too do their instinct duty.

Krishna says: one who knows the truth, that Yogi know that when he see, hear, touch, smell, eat, walk, sleep, breath, speak, wink, hold and purge etc- he knows that these activities are the duty of the concerned organs being done by the body. Thus he escape the author of the action.

Oh Lord bless us with Yoga and wisdom.

Self conquered and self restrained
See in all beings and in own self
The self as acting, but not tainted.

Continuing the dialogue on Karma and Sanyasa Yoga, Krishna says, the pious men who practice this Yogas, restrain and conquer the lust. Thus this self disciplined sees the supreme in all beings equal. So he can act taintless.

Let us take an oath to act taintless. May God bless our actions.

Chapter 5: Karma Sanyasa Yoga

(True Renunciation)

5 Jnanis reach that place and
Yogins also reach the same
That seen by Kama or Sankya;
Same who see he really sees.

6 To achieve sanyasa Oh Jishnu;
With out meditation is very hard
The steady meditated sage only
Can reach easily goal Brahma.

Krishna says: Karma Yogis and Jnana Yogis both reach the same supreme bliss. As the ultimate truth is the same, the Jana Yogi and the Karma Yogi can't see differently. To establish Sanyasa meditation is the tool. Krishna says, Steadily meditating Yogi easily reaches the supreme goal, the Brahman.

Oh Lord, let our supreme goal be Brahman. Give us Brahma Jnana.

Bhagavad Gita

Chapter 5: Karma Sanyasa Yoga

(True Renunciation)

Know, a real saint do no
Desire, hate or any harm.
Diverseless Oh Mighty armed
Easily he will free bondage.

Childish speak of Jnana Yoga
But not by the realised one.
Even if established in one
He’ll get fruits of both Yogas.

Krishna says, how a saint must be. A saint does not have any wrested desire, does not hate nor does he do any harm to others. Being desireles he is free from action- bondages. Foolish People speak on Jnana Yoga without knowing that, but the wise will not. Because he knows that even if you establish one yoga, we get the fruits of both - Karna and Sanyasa yogas.

It's the sincere prayers that make us eligible for blessings. So let us pray to the Lord, bless us with knowledge and divine Yoga. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita

Chapter 5: Karma Sanyasa Yoga

(True Renunciation)

Arjuna said:
Sanyasa and Karmayoga
Oh Krishna you praise again.
Say which of it is the best
I pray thee to ensure me.

The Blessed Lord said:
Sanyasa Yoga and Karma Yoga
Both leads to the highest bliss.
But in Karma - Sanyasa Yogas,
I deem; Karma Yoga is the best.

As Krishna said on Karma and Sanyasa the two types of Yogas, then Arjuna asks Krishna which one is the best Yoga that I have to follow. Answering Arjuna, Krishna says: both the Yogas lead us to the highest achievement of bliss. However Karma yoga is the best. The reasons for this will follow.

Today let us pray to God to bless us to be excellent Karma Yogis.

Bhagavad Gita 220419

Bhagavad Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

42 Hence cut off the doubt that is
Born of Ignorance in your mind
With strong sword of knowledge;
And arise Bharatha; abided in Yoga.

Thus Shrimat Bhagavat Gitopanishat
The supreme doctrine of Yoga Science
As Srikrishna - Arjuna dialogue
Jnanakarmasanyasa Yoga named Fourth Chapter.

In conclusion of the dialogue on knowledge, Krishna said that the cause of all evils is ignorance. Ignorance brings doubt in our mind. Krishna tells us to cut off doubt with a strong  weapon - knowledge. For this we have to take the help of Yoga, control of mind. Be unattached and do service to the world. Manava seve is Madhava seva .

Thus the dialogue on Jnanakarmasanyasa Yoga is completed. With wisdom relinquishing all actions in God, get liberated, enjoy the action without involvement.

Today our pledge is to oppose orthodox hatred teachings. God is love and compassion only.

Bhagavad Gita 220418

Bhagavad Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

40 The ignorant, the faithless and
The devoteless goes to destruction.
Neither this world nor the other
Nor gayness gets a doubting soul.

41 If actions pledged to Yoga and
Doubts cleared by knowledge
Such self poised will never be
Bound by actions oh Dhananjaya.

Krishna says: people who are ignorant, who don't trust in God and the devoteless will go to destruction.  Such people do not win this world. They also fail to win the next world and life. The key to win this world itself is to gain wisdom. We gain wisdom with Yoga, clear doubt by knowledge. When we are free from doubt, our actions are not binding and we become liberated.

Let our have a pledge to spread this knowledge of liberation– Gita to all. To make a society of clear vision with peace and prosperity.

Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

38 Nothing like knowledge
Exists certainly pure.
It reveals itself in time
To the one perfect in Yoga.
39 Whose senses are subdued and
Who devotes; get the knowledge.
Thus having attained knowledge
Soon he merges in supreme peace.

Krishna says: continuation on knowledge, Krishna ensure Arjuna that knowledge is the purest thing. Those who search it will find it in appropriate time by itself. However it is revealed only to the one perfect in yoga. Further one has to control his senses and will have devotion. The result of attaining knowledge is that he merge in supreme peace.

God bless us with supreme knowledge and bliss. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220415

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

36 Though thee be the sinner most
In the sea of worst sinners;
Yet by the raft of knowledge
You can cross wide sea of sins.

37 Partha, like a blazing fire
Reduce the whole fuel to ash
So do fire of knowledge too
Destroy thy action bondages.

Last time Krishna explained about the study of sacrifices. He said that there are divine men and devilish men. The divine are blessed and the devilish are Haunted men. The devilish do evils destruction. The divine do good work. In continuation Krishna said: even if you be the most fouling sinner; but if you board the boat of knowledge; you can cross the sea of sins. Knowledge is like a fire; it reduces all sins into nothing alongwith the action bondage.

Oh Lord, the demons has not been destroyed. Because of the Haunted men preaching and teaching wrong things (Extremism). So we pray thee to give knowledge and lead all of us to right direction. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220414

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

34 Know that by long prostration
Enquiry and by humble service
The wise who have seen the truth
Will initiate thee to true knowledge.

35 Knowing that you will not get
Deluded like this again Partha
Since you shall see all beings
Here in thyself and same in me.

After explaining different types of sacrifices, Krishna says the way to achieve this knowledge. It is through becoming a disciple to a learner and knowledgeable person. However the wisdom being highly spiritual and involving special powers, it should be advised to good selected  people only. There are Blessed men and Haunted men. They have extraordinary powers. Men are Haunted by spirits for three things (kill, love, revenge) as per astrology.  The Blessed men reform and help people. Haunted man will do killings, rape and torture. Arjuna is blessed, even Prophets were there against Krishna and Arjuna.  So become a disciple of a wise person, so that you will not be deluded.

Oh God, we pray to thee to protect us from evils. Bless us with knowledge and wisdom. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220413

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

32 Thus several types of sacrifices
Has come into the Brahma’s mouth.
Know they all are born of action
Knowing thus you will be liberated.
33 Greater is the knowledge sacrifice
Than sacrifice with objects oh Partha !
All actions as a whole oh Partha
Do culminate in knowledge only.

Krishna continues : thus several types of sacrifices has been offered into the mouth of Brahman. Know that these sacrifices are born from actions. Knowledge of these sacrifices will liberate us. Among the sacrifices, sacrifice with knowledge is superior to sacrifice with objects. Because actions are totally formed from knowledge.

So let us pray to God, to bless us with knowledge and do divine actions. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220412

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

30 Others with well regulated food or
Life air offered in life air only.
All these performers of sacrifices
Their sins are severed by sacrifice.
31 The sacrifice remnant or nectar eaters
Reach eternal world of the Brahma.
Non – sacrifice-er get not even this world
How then the offer - oh Best of the Kurus.

Krishna continues on sacrifice.  There are many types of sacrifices so far said. Again, some regulate their food and do sacrifice. Some offer their life air in lifeair itself and these sacrifices remove all his sin.  The remnant of sacrifice is equal to nectar. By eating the remnant of sacrifice, he gets freed from sin and he reaches Brahman. Therefore the sacrificer gain the world of excellence, while the non doer of sacrifice never gain anything even in this world.

So let us pray… oh God, liberate us, bless us with knowledge and divine services. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220411

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

28 Some offers wealth as sacrifice, when;
By austerity or Yoga by some others.
Study of scriptures or study of the self
Is the sacrifice of the sages rigid vowed.

29 Out going breath or incoming breath
And some other offers both the breaths
Thus controlling the course of breaths
Absorbed solely in restraint breathing.

Continuing on sacrifice Krishna said: Some offer wealth as the oblations, some other offer steadfast austerity the Yoga and others with study of Vedas or spiritual texts as offering to Brahman. They are known as sages who have rigid vows. Some do sacrifice offering the incoming breath or outgoing breath, called pranayam. Some activate the Eda - Moon Nadi and some the Pingala - Sun Nadi. Some people prefer controlling both the breaths and attain blissful stage through Sushmna- the middle Nadi.

Oh God bless us with knowledge in sacrifice. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220409

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

26 Some offers hearing such senses
As sacrifice in the fire of restraint
some offers sound and such objects
as sacrifice in the fire of senses.
27 Some offers bodily senses in action
While functions of breath yet another
Self restraint in the fire of Yoga and
Some sacrifice in the fire of knowledge.

Krishna continues on sacrifice…  Some people are offering their senses like hearing as sacrifices in the fire of restraint. Whereas some offer sound as oblations where the fire is senses. Some make bodily senses as offering in action fire. Another one does sacrifice with his breath, yoga and fire of knowledge. All are sacrifices and ultimately leads to Brahman.

God bless us with wisdom, knowledge and divine action.

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

24 Brahma the oblation, Brahma the butter
Brahma the fire and Brahma the fuel
Brahma if seen in all acts
Brahma only thee will reach.
25 Some Yogis do the sacrifice
To please only some devas
Some sacrifice in Brahma - fire
Some other offers soul itself.

Krishna was explaining about action, continuing on action, its attitude he says. If you do action as oblations to Brahman ultimately you reach the supreme Brahman. People sacrifice in many different ways. Some do sacrifice to please Dummy God's. Some offer sacrifice to Brahman while some do offer actions in the soul itself. Many more types of sacrifices will come.

The Doer of sacrifice reaches supreme Brahman. God bless our actions to be sacrifices. Purify our actions and mind. Give us wisdom and liberate us. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220407

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

22 Content in that gained by chance
Doubtless and envyless too.
Success, failure uniminded;
He can act on unbinded.

23 Those unattached and liberated
And who established in knowledge
And act for the sake of sacrifice
Their actions are also dissolved.

Krishna explained how you can do action untrained. For that one should act unattached, content and envyless. He should not mind success as well as failure. Acting unattached and through wisdom you can be liberated. Once liberated, you are freed from action bondage. Similarly by doing actions as sacrifices you will be liberated and freed from action bondage.

Oh Lord, liberate us. Bless us with knowledge. Hare Krishna

Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

20 Leaving desire for action’s fruit
That who act free and content
Though engage ever in actions but
Uncounted his actions are unbinding.

21 Desireless and self controlled
Passions totally abandoned
Bodily actions simply done
Thus he incurs little sin.

Krishna said: Arjuna, leave desire for the fruits of action. However you engage in action continuously. Then your actions will  be free from sin. The cause of sin is selfishness and ego. So be free from desire and passion. Do actions simply by body thus avoiding sin.

Oh God, bless us to have devotion to thee and attain enlightenment.

Bhagavad Gita 220405

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

18 He who finds inaction, in action;
And see action too in inaction
That wise among men is true
Yogi - performer of true action.
19 He who initiates action that
Are devoid of desires or want.
The wise call him a sage as his
Actions are pureed in wisdom fire.

Krishna said about action, inaction and its complications. Further he says that who see inaction in action and at the same time action in inaction is true Yogi. He says that one should not feel efforts in action but feel restlessness in inaction is true performer of true action. The one starts an action with out personal benifit but for others benifit is a real Yogi. He is the sage who have sublimed his actions in the fire of wisdom.

So let us also wish to become Yogis. Oh Lord bless us to become Yogis. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220404

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

16 Is it action or inaction
Even the wise get confused
So I shall teach you action,
Knowledge which will liberate thee.

17 To distinguish the right actions
One should know those forbidden.
Know that for inaction
Imponderable is the path.

Krishna explaining actions says that even great saints are not able to distinguish between action and inaction.

Even the wice can not clear this action and inaction matter. Krishna says to distinguish it we must know the forbidden actions. But for inaction the path is spontaneous natural instinct, with firm God awareness.

Oh God, bless us to have such constant awareness.

Bhagavad Gita 220403

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

14 No action do taint me
Nor I long for any wage.
He who know me thus
Is not bound by duty.
15 The liberated ancient saints
Though knowing this did work.
Thus you too perform thy duty
As early as thy ancients did.

Krishna continues: as I told you, that every man acts with own natural instinct, every man differs from one another. However, no action affects me nor I wish for any wage for action. Thus who realise and follow me relinquishing wage for action will not be bound by action. The ancient sages acted like this and they were liberated. Therefore following them, you too perform your duty unattached. Do perform your art in war.

Oh God, we bless us to do divine actions as thy service. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220402

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

12 Longing only for action’s fruit
Men here worship so many gods.
Men via action achieve quick
Objects in this world so ease.

13 I have found the four fold caste
Differentiating the grade of work
Though author I am there of yet
Know, I am non-doer, everlasting.

Krishna said: For achieving excellence, some men adopt shortcuts. Action is the quick way to achieve any object. God's blessing is quicker and an achievement. So men take the help of dummy God's and flourish quickly. It is the wrong way. Therefore devote me and get liberated. mankind is distinguished by four different types as per their nature. Though I made this system, I am not the author of it. Each man develop own authority as per nature. Know me, I am an eternal being. Know me, follow me and get liberated.

Oh God, we will not depend upon dummy God's. Bless us to serve thee in proper ways, lead us to liberation.

Bhagavat Gita
Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

Krishna said:

10 Freed of lust, fear and rage
Merged in meditation on me.
Lots with wisdom penance,
Purifies mind and reach me.

11 The way one appeal me
So do I appease them.
Men do tread my path
Allover alike Oh Partha !

Krishna said that he takes birth to protect the society and it's good citizens. Men doing good is favourite to God. The men doing evils never do God any favour. Man who is free from lust, fear and greed can synchronise himself with the supreme. One who appeases the supreme with adorable work will be rewarded with favour. Thus men all over the world do try to adapt in life and become favourites to God.

Oh Lord, we see mercyless men doing atrocities. They are surely controlled by evil forces. Oh God, you are the most merciful. We adore you and can never be merciless. Bless us to serve thee with love. Hare Krishna

Yet ruling over my own nature;

Then - then I will manifest myself

Krishna said: Arjuna, I am the eternal being present in all beings. God the birthless and deathless. I control my own nature and take birth by my Maya, the illusion. Whenever the law and order of the world is destroyed, and good people begin to suffer, then I incarnate to restore Dharma in the society.

Ch : IV
Ending Action in Knowledge
(Jnana - Karma - Sanyas Yoga)

1 The Blessed Lord said:
This imperishable Yoga
I taught it first the Sun.
Sun taught it Manu, and,
Manu initiated Ikshwaku.

2 Thus in succession by generations
Great many saints studied this.
But as great long ages passed
Yoga faded to extinct oh Foemar.

Krishna says: oh Arjuna, first I taught this Gita to Sun. Sun taught it Manu and Manu passed it to Ikshwaku and so on. Thus this great teaching was studied by great saints and people. However, with the passage of a long time, the handing over of the knowledge stopped. Now Gita knowledge is extinct. God's incarnation is for saving knowledge.

Thus Shrimad Bhagavat Githopanishad’s

As Shrikrishna - Arjuna dialogue
Karma yoga the III rd Chapter.

Krishna concludes the dialogue on Karma yoga. Partha, you realise your real enemy, it's your own lust. So, restrain your senses though it is hard to be conquered. Act with wisdom and knowledge. It is the path to liberation. Thus revealing the supreme wisdom Krishna ends the dialogue on Karma yoga.

Bhagavad Gita 220325

Bhagavad Gita

Ch 3 Karma yoga

43 Therefore Oh Bharatha!
Control thy senses first.
Thus axe off the cause of sins
The destroyer of development.

44 Senses are superior to body
Mind is superior to senses,
Wisdom is superior to mind
Yet, most superior is the soul.

Krishna said: lust and envy are the real foes for a wise man. Therefore man must first control his senses. Thus one can cut off the cause of all evils that may happen. In support of the words, Krishna reveals a supreme fact. Senses are superior to the body, while the mind that controls senses is superior. But wisdom and knowledge direct the mind. However all these body, mind, wisdom all depend on the Soul. Thus most superior is the soul.

Oh Lord of all souls, bless us for a worthy life. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita

Ch 3 Karma yoga

40 Like the smoke covers the fire
And the dust covers the glass or
Like womb en-covers the embryo
Likewise lust covers the wisdom.

41 Ever it is an enemy for the wise
For wisdom is covered by that lust
Kawntheya in the form of desire;
Like fire, it can never be appeased.

42 The sense mind and intellect
Are said to be seats of lust,
It deludes the embodied
By eclipsing his wisdom.

Krishna said: It is the Rajoguna that misguides you, through lust and anger. Lust comes in the form of desires and like fire, it can not be satisfied. The wise should remember it and avoid lust and anger for ever. Lust make its seats in your mind, senses and intelligence.  Block the wisdom by delusion and make you do all evils against your wishes.  As the lust covers the wisdom very effectively and conningly, it is difficult to realise it.

Oh God, we surrender to you with our minds. Protect us from evils and delusion. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220323

38 Arjuna said:
But what do compels men all over
To commit sin though unwilling.
Engaged as if he is forced to do
Even against his will oh Varshneya!

39 The Blessed Lord said:
Unquenched is this lust and rage
Originated from the Rajogunas
So, terrible sins are caused by it
Hence treat them as thy real foes.

Krishna said, doing own duty is Karma yoga. A yogi should not shoulder other's work, it is sin. Now Arjuna wanted to know why man committ sin against his will.  Krishna reply: the lust and rage of men is not satisfied or controlled properly. These mistakes are happening due to excessive Rajoguna. Terrible sin are caused due to Rajoguna. Therefore one must treat the Rajoguna as an enemy.

Oh God, protect us from the devil's grip and lead us to divinity. Hare Krishna.

Oh God, we surrender to you with our minds. Protect us from evils and delusion. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220316

Bhagavad Gita

Chapter 3: (Karma Yoga)

Krishna said:

37 Greater is the death if it is
Happened while doing own duty.
Terrible is the death if it is
Happened on discharging else’s duty.

Krishna said that one's own duty is always better than to do other's duty. Even if you can do other people's work with skill, it is not justified. Further Krishna says: if you meet death while delivering your own duty, it is blessed. But death on shouldering another's duty is terrific - it gives you hell.

So let us pray to God to guide us in our actions. May great action and achievements happen. Hare Krishna

Krishna said:
33
But those who carp my teachings
And do not practice it either
Know such fools doom for ever
Loosing chance to wake his self.

34 Even the wise himself do
Like wise his instinct says
All beings follows nature
What else can a restraint do.
Krishna said: Whoever practises my teaching, will be liberated. Those who do against it will ever remain a fool. For losing the chance to liberate the self, he will doom forever.
We pray you God, bless us with knowledge and liberate us.

Bhagavad Gita

Chapter 3: (Karma Yoga)

Krishna said:

35 Man made for senses
Sway by love and lust
Don’t surrender to senses
For they are thy real foes.

36 Greater is own duty which
Though he think its unworthy.
Than the duty of another
Even if it is well discharged.

Krishna says:  Men who are sense centered, they are moving with love and lust. Therefore don't surrender to senses. Remember that the senses are the real cause of obstruction for development. Even if you do not recognise, Your duty is really great. Shouldering the duty of another is not appreciated even if it is discharged well.

Today's prayer is Oh God, make us good Karma Yogis, free from bondages and lust.

29 But who know oh Mighty armed
Divisions of actions and objects
And sense organs work for senses
Thus knowing act unattached.

30This deluded in the grip of nature acts
Attached to actions per ego or instincts
For such unsettled Hippocratic foolish men
The wise should not try to reform them.

Krishna says: Oh Arjuna, the sense organs act according to the taste of the man. So you act unattached. However the deluded act with attachment, ego and instinct. Such Hippocrates can't be corrected. So the wise should not try to improve them.

Chapter 3: (Karma Yoga)

Krishna said:

27 Agitate not the mind of those
Ignorant with attachment to action.
Let the wise restraint too devote
To engage all and self to work.

28 Nature makes all to do
Work always by instinct.
I am the doer but he thinks
The ego deluded man a fool.

Krishna says: Oh Arjuna, do not try to change an ignorant man, who does act with attachment in action. The wise must engage self and others in action.  It is evident that all do act with natural instinct. However, men under delusion think that they do act at their own will.

The wise acts unattached
Wishing all world the good.

Krishna says: Though no duty binds me, I do actions without any hesitation. Otherwise, the world will begin to go easy and all systems and anarchy will happen. Then I will be responsible for it. Oh Arjuna, ignorant people act attached to action, while the wise do act unattached and for the welfare of the world.

In all three worlds oh Partha!
Nothing left but all achieved
Yet myself engage in action.
24 If I do no action thus
Without any relaxation;
My way they will follow
Men allover oh Partha.

Krishna says, look at me, I am free from any obligations. I have everything, I achieved everything. Yet I do engage in action, because; if I don't do anything, men will follow me and remain idle and thus the world will perish. So do your duty Partha; for Protection of men depends on you.

Perfection through actions

For thy masses thee perform.
22 What the honored have done
That the others will follow.
What standard he had set
World follows to scale on it.
Janaka the great king was such a famous king who was looking upon as a perfect personality. The world is looking back for a reference to go forward. Once a mark is set, people try to improve over it. So, Krishna asked Arjuna to fight, so that he accomplish his Dharma.

15 Beings emerge from food
Food arise from the rain.
Rain emerge from sacrifice,
And sacrifice is born action.

16 Action comes from Brahman
Form imperishable is Brahman.
Hence all pervading Brahman
Exists ever in all sacrifices.

All living beings are born and live out of food. Whereas food is made from rain. The rain originated from sacrifice. And sacrifice is action itself. Originator of action is all pervading Brahman. So, Brahman is ever present in sacrifice.

Let us pray to God, Oh Lord, make our actions selfless sacrifice to you.

14 But the sin-full cook food
For his own sake only and
Without sharing it with Gods
Verily eat but sin only.

The good people do live on remnant of sacrifice. It is divine nectar. It free us from sin. The sinful cook food for  own belly. Without sharing it with God's, they are eating sin only. Become the giver of food is God, and offer it to God thankfully, remember God before eating.

All other actions binds to world.
Hence to free from bondage do -
Actions as sacrifice oh Kawntheya!

10
Creating the mankind with sacrifice
Creator declared in the beginning
Sacrifice will be thy way to prosper
It is the milk-cow of thy desires too.

All actions are binding men as Karma. However, actions done as sacrifices do not bind, as it is offering to God. Further, it says that, at the time of creation the Creator declared; men do sacrifice to God. God's in return will bless you with all wealth. Thus sacrifices are the milk- cow,  giver of desires.

Actionless even for a second,
But all beings do helplessly
Act by own natural instinct.
6 Organs of actions restricted, yet;
Mind engaged on fondling objects
Such one ever will remain a stupid
And can only be called a hypocrite.

The nature is set such that none can sit idle or inactive. All beings do work, at least for their survival as per natural instinct. However, a man who restrict his organs from objects; yet ponder sensual desires, is a hypocrite. Such stupid will never gain wisdom or liberation.

If greater is wisdom
In option to action
Why I am then deputed
For duty so terrible?
2 Listening to thy speech perplexing
My mind is much confused.
Hence tell me the selected one
By which I gain sure perfection.

Krishna explained the Sankhya Yoga to Arjuna; that we have seen in the second chapter. Now Arjuna raises his doubts. Krishna, you said me to do action- duty. However at the same time you applaud on wisdom. If wisdom is good, why am I compelled to do this war of destruction ?

Listening to your dialogue, I am confused about my duty. So tell me the selected one that one will deliver the best out of me.

Even if at the end of his life
Attains supreme Brahmic Bliss.

Thus Shimad Bhagavathgithopanishad’s

Oh Partha, those whose knowledge is perfect, he attains Brahmic Bliss. Once one attains this state of mind, will never drop from that. God is the power that direct all. 70 Intakes all streams, though full;
Ocean remains yet unchanged
Lust enters all, restrained but;
Lust of the lusty never quench.

71 Man if do as desireless
Leaving desire, ego, hate;
And all longings for lust then
He attains peace absolute.

Lust effects all men similarly. However a Restrained controls it. A lusty who always think of senses can never escape from lusts. Like an ocean which intake all rivers; yet remaining unchanged. When man act with wisdom, not with desires, ego or hatred then there will be peace. Absolute peace is Evey individuals duty; for which each should act with wisdom and restrain.

All of us may take oath to act with senses not as sensual. Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220317

Bhagavad Gita
CH -II Yoga of Knowledge
(Sankhya Yoga)

Krishna says:

67 When lust concerned senses
Drive the mind like a boat it -
Drift away by wind a while
Lust conquered, steers his mind.

68 Therefore oh Mighty Armed
That who eliminate always
Organs from all objects
His knowledge is perfect.

69 When it is night for all beings
Then keep awake the restrained
When all beings are awake
That is night cease the sage.

The man who commands his mind, his knowledge will be perfect. Who ever want for sensual desire, he will meet with disaster. It is why a saint keep vigilant when all around him is awake.

We should be like that sage, vigilant against sensual desires, so that our wisdom becomes perfect.

Bhagavad Gita 220215

Bhagavad Gita
CH -II Yoga of Knowledge
(Sankhya Yoga)

Krishna says:

62 For men pondered on objects
Desire geminates in his mind.
Lust arises from grown desires
And anger spurt when lust is burst.

63 Anger cause men delusion
Delusion cause sluggishness;
Sluggishness cause stupidity
And stupidity cause the doom.

64 If habits free from lust and hate,
Though he moves among objects,
Self oriented and self controlled.
Happy he lives ever in peace.

Men who think about sensual pleasures, desire arise in their minds. When the desires are not satisfied then anger arise. Anger make men deluded, where as delusion cause sluggishness. Ultimately sluggishness lead to stupidity and doom.

So man must avoid desires and lust. Habits free from lust and hatred, he live happily. Even if such one move among objects he is not effected by it.

So today let us pray to God, to make us restrained and lustless.

Bhagavad Gita
CH -II Yoga of Knowledge
(Sankhya Yoga)

55 The Blessed Lord said:
When desires are slaughtered
Then steering mind well Partha !
With in the self he satisfies
Say his wisdom is steady.

56 Mind buoyant in sorrow and
Kept detached from rejoicings;
Jealousy, fear, lust and anger;
Such steady minded is a sage.

Krishna  explained about a man of  steady wisdom. He rejected all selfish desires,  act with wisdom and remain iin the self.. He do not cheer in ahappiness nor becomes sad. He keeps  away from duality. Such one is a saint and Yogi.

Let us pray, Lorda to make  us Yogis.

Hare Krishna

Bhagavad Gita 220214

Bhagavad Gita
CH -II Yoga of Knowledge
(Sankhya Yoga)

Krishna says:

61 Sit steady with mind centered
Only on me with restrained sense.
For restrained whose senses are
Steady becomes his wisdom too.

62 For men pondered on objects
Desire geminates in his mind.
Lust arises from grown desires
And anger spurt when lust is burst.

Established mind is a concentrated mind. Concentration is gained by pegging the mind to an object, by meditation. Let the object be Devin and powerful. So centre mind on the supreme lord. Wisdom stays with a Restrained sense. Men who think of lusty objects, desire arise in his mind. Desire creates lust in mind. When lust is not satisfied, anger arises in mind.

Today let us pray to God to make our wisdom steady, free from lusts.

Bhagavad Gita 220213

Bhagavad Gita
CH -II Yoga of Knowledge
(Sankhya Yoga)

Krishna says:

59 Man who is abstinent,
Turns away from objects,
When he see the supreme self
His balance lust also leaves.

60 Though he be the hard striving,
The turbulent senses do try -
To shatter his mind by force then
Even the wisest loose Oh Kawntheya.

The man who is established in the self, loses his interest in worldly objects. Furthermore, when he meets the supreme self; then on he loses his remaining lusts. Thus the identity of a realised man is that he remains inert to lusts, but becomes a person of unconditional love.

It's a fact that a hard striving man in the path of self- realisation is tested severely. The turbulent mind blows so strong that the wisest man also loses.

It's the faith in God that carries us across the ocean of lust successfully.

So today let us pray to God, protect our minds in the path of realisation.

That who stays unaffected
Say his wisdom is perfect.

58 Like a tortoise withdraws itself -
Its limbs in from all around; thus -
who withdraw senses from all objects
Then say his wisdom is steady.

Krishna explains how a perfect wise person is. He will not be affected with abuse or admiration. The wise protect himself from the waring senses like a tortoise. A man who withdraws his sense from luring senses, his wisdom is steady and perfect.

Oh Lord, we pray to make our wisdom perfect.

54 Arjuna said:

An established in supreme self ?
How they speak how respond ?
How they move how they rest ?

The problem everyone faces is the misunderstanding of the old sayings. So, ignore them, think and decide things with a balanced mind.  Steadiness of mind is yoga. Ever preserved in the stable self.

46 What is the use of a well;
When every where is flooded
Same is from all Vedas
What a Brahman can fetch.

When all places are flooded with water, what's the meaning of digging a well. As Athman is the only Subject, why read wast Vedas. Vedas describes the three attributes. But Arjuna conquer the attributes and act beyond them. In other words, be un-attributed, beyond Satwa, Rajas and Thamo gunas.

Krishna says the world is lusty and heaven wanting. However, their deeds are such that they get rebirth. Men with lust for women and wealth, lost peace and love. The cause of this is the three attributes, says the Vedas. However Arjuna, you have to be beyond these attributes.

Krishna explains the nature of mind. The mind has multiple functions and is endless. Concentration of mind on a single subject is yoga. Krishna now criticises Veda lovers. Veda says flower like beautiful words. But teach nothing great. The reality is there is only one thing to learn, that is Athman, Know Athman, purpose of learning is accomplished.
